What was the Legend of Zelda series actually based off of?

The Legend of Zelda creator, Shigeru Miyamoto, and his backyard adventures in the woods he had behind his small home in the little quaint town that he lived in.

What item has been in almost every single Zelda game, official or even fan-made?

The bombs. They've been in every fan game we at TriforceTour have seen, and every game that the staff members have played (pretty much the whole series) the bombs are always there.

What is one of the biggest misconceptions of the series?

The name of the main character. Zelda gets new fans all the time and the biggest misconception that we've ever seen is people calling the main character "Zelda." Zelda is the name of the princess, for crying out loud! It's called "The Legend of Zelda" because it's the Legend that's been passed down by Zelda. Get it?

Who are Link's parents?

That question has been circulated for a while now, and we know there has to be a mom and dad for there to be a kid. In Ocarina of Time, Link's father was killed in war, his mother wounded and dead soon after. Majora's Mask was the sequel to Ocarina of Time, so that's the explanation on that one. In the other games, though, we're not so sure about it.

Too many girls!! Which one does Link love the most?

This has been the most trivial question of all, so no one has ever been able to completely answer this one. Most people settle for Princess Zelda, others settle for Malon, the farm girl from Ocarina of Time, and lastly, some settle for Princess Ruto (princess of the Zora tribe) or Marin, the girl in Link's Awakening. Speaking of which...

Is Link's Awakening really a dream?

At the end of the game, it was mentioned that it was not a dream. Case closed.

What is Dark Link's sexual orientation? (?!)^new!

Arguably, he could be homosexual because he is the exact opposite of Link, but he could also just be a guy that Ganon trained to take him down.

Who's more annoying, Ciela or Navi?^new!

That's a matter of opinion. Personally, I think Navi is more annoying...

Does Link ever wear pants?^new!

...In some games. He wears leg coverings as Adult Link in Ocarina of Time, and the same goes for Twilight Princess. Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass as well. I'm pretty sure in every other game he just wears a tunic.
